FILM
The Hilde Back Education Fund (HBEF) cordially invites you to a special screening of the
documentary film – ‘A Small Act’ on Friday 30th March 2012, at the Louis Leakey Auditorium
at the National Museums of Kenya at 6.45pm.
‘A Small Act’ is a film depicting our work at HBEF and is an inspiring story depicting how a small
act of kindness can have
far-reaching positive effect in the lives of others. It is a story of
hope
showing that each one of us can play a role in the education of a
needy child in Kenya or elsewhere.
Filmed in the sleepy town of Vasteras,
Sweden, the bustling city of Geneva, Switzerland and the
lush landscape
of Kenya’s central highlands, ‘A Small Act’ is as entertaining
as it is inspiring!
The film has made a successful debut on the world
stage, with popular appearances at key film
festivals globally and in
Kenya in 2010 and 2011. Once again, ‘A Small Act’ is currently being
aired on HBO in the US. (www.asmallact.com).
We therefore look forward to your participation and your presence will be highly appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
HBEF
The Hilde Back Education Fund (HBEF) is an organization that is committed to the promotion of

and its mission is
to assist disadvantaged children who are bright but poor to access

opportunities through award of scholarships, enabling them
realize their full academic and professional
potential.

22nd edition of FESPACO, the greatest African film festival on the African continent.
26 February 5 March 2011.
The 7th edition of the AMAAs will be held in April 2011.
AMAA is an annual celebration of the brightest and the best in African movies. It is about class and style, blitz, glitz and razzmatazz. It is the biggest gathering of movie makers across the African continent and the diaspora. It is to show to the world that the rating of Nollywood (Nigeria) as the third largest producers of movie is real
Today, African films serve as a link for Africans in the Diaspora with Africans at home. These films have the potential to serve as a shared collective experience, a reminder that Africa is a vibrant continent filled with colour, energy and possibility.
